The blog is back!!!!

Took Kenny Sinn Sinn fishing again.  Pretty standard Ken Sinn fishing experience.  Lots of missed fish, no fish actually caught by Ken (I caught fish).   Ken has a nice new waterproof pack he was testing due his bad habit of falling in the river.  Nice to be out with friends and Ken will be rewarded soon for his efforts.

Weather was 60s, low pre-run off flows.  Caddis Caddis Caddis, all day.....wish I had one. 

Late March Trip

Water: 90 cfs

Weather: 60 sunny/showers/wind

Location: Upper Gun

Picked up a few fish on griffen gnats and a jumper out of the plung pool. All browns, all small.

Winter Steelhead

Over the holiday I got in my fix of fishing for the big guys!!! I don't know what I like better, fishing dries to risers on the Madison or drifting eggs past 10lb fish in western new york!!!! The scenery is always great during the winter, fishing is often more difficult but all of the ice falls make up for the lack of fish.

Naples

Over Christmas tried some surf fishing with a fly rod in Naples, FL. I hadn't caught anything with every other method I tried so i figured go to what I know.....stripping streamers. I managed a few small jacks which were a lot of fun. There were larger fish in the surf however they were very spooky I couldn't manage to get a presentation to them....Next trip!!!

Gunpowder Trip

Over the weekend I decided it has been way to long since the last time i chased after the trout of the gunpowder. So i decided to head up there forgetting how early it gets dark these days and found very challenging conditions and little time to figure it out. The water was low and the fish were spooked from a couple of 70 degree days. So Matt and I caught nothing except one trout below the damn......next time.
